First Hour: Raising Healthy Kids
Second Hour: Puerto Rican Parade and Festival/ Representation of Latinos in the media
We ask the question, “How do we raise healthy children?” We’ll discuss the risk of childhood obesity, healthy eating, and exercise. We’ll include a discussion about how to best keep their minds healthy, as well. How much screen time is healthy and what are some of the alternatives to video games and television?
The Puerto Rican Parade and Festivalkicks off this weekend. We’ll speak with the organizers about the history of these events, and preview what will be coming up over the weekend. To close the hour, we’ll have a conversation about Latino representation in the local media.
