Coming up on Connections: Tuesday, December 9th

First hour: Talking about rape, a culture of respect, the Rolling Stone story and more with Dartmouth's Susan Brison

Second hour: Examining single payer healthcare

In our first hour, we're talking about the culture of respect as it pertains to rape and sexual violence. Our guest is Susan Brison, chair of the philosophy department at Dartmouth College. Tuesday night, Brison will be the featured speaker at Hobart and William Smith's ongoing dialog aimed at enhancing a culture of respect on campus. She's written a book about her own experience as a victim, and she'll talk about these issues and more on Tuesday night.

In our second hour, single payer health care: is it an option for New York state? Asssemblyman Richard Gottfried thinks so, and he's been hosting forums around the state. We'll talk to him, along with a panel with diverse interests and backgrounds. And we'll explore what's happening in Vermont, where single payer could launch as soon as 2017. My colleague Michelle Faust will join the conversation, adding her perspective as she covers the ACA and health care in general.
