Bills Fire Gailey

Buffalo Bills Logo

The Buffalo Bills have fired head coach Chan Gailey, after the team stumbled to a 6-10 record.

Gailey lost twice as many games as he won during his three year tenure as coach, compiling a 16-32 record.
There was no immediate word on the status of General Manager Buddy Nix.

The Bills have now gone 13 years in a row without making the playoffs, the longest active drought in the NFL.
Other NFL coaches getting the axe Monday morning: Philadelphia's Andy Reid, Cleveland's Pat Shurmur, and Kansas City's Romeo Crennel.

The Browns also dismissed GM Tom Heckert, while Jacksonville also fired GM Gene Smith.
