Bill Moyers To Speak At FLCC

Commentator Bill Moyers will speak at Finger Lakes Community College next month to open the George M. Ewing Canandaigua Forum.

The title of Moyers' talk is "Election 2016: It Matters," and it will begin at 4pm on Sunday, October 2nd at FLCC's Student Center Auditorium in Canandaigua.

Moyers, a former special assistant to President Lyndon Johnson, was also a White House press secretary before launching a decades-long career as a journalist and political commentator.

Moyers, who was extensively involved in public broadcasting,  is the producer of public affairs series such as "NOW with Bill Moyers," "Bill Moyers Journal," and "Moyers & Company."

He will be joined on stage at FLCC by moderator Michael Winship, a Canandaigua native who was senior writer at Bill Moyers Journal and Moyers & Company and is currently senior writer at BillMoyers.com
