Previous story:

Police  have reportedly confirmed that the vehicle found in the Genesee River on Wednesday is that of the missing Perinton couple, Robert and Mary Ross.

There was no immediate confirmation on whether the bodies of the two people were found in the Kia Sorrento.

That vehicle was found during a search in the river near Pelican’s Next restaurant.

Divers continued to work on Thursday to get the vehicle out of the river.  Authorities have said it is possible the car entered the water via a nearby boat launch.

The last contact with Robert and Mary Ross happened in late January.
