PathStone, a Rochester organization which provides services to low-income families and economically distressed communities throughout the state, has hired Alex Castro as its new Senior Vice President of Operations.
Castro had been the executive director of the Rochester Housing Authority for several years until he was removed from that position last fall. His resume also includes serving as executive director of The Housing Council from 2005 to 2011, which affiliated with PathStone last year.
PathStone CEO Stuart Mitchell says with his organization’s recent growth, it became evident that their leadership team would benefit by adding a highly experienced executive and community leader, and they feel that Castro is a uniquely qualified professional for that task.
