College at Brockport officials say that nine people, including six current students, have been arrested by University Police and the Brockport Police Department and charged with misdemeanors, as a result of a hazing investigation.
The nine face charges that include hazing, criminal nuisance, and charges under the state’s agriculture and markets law regarding the treatment of animals.
Last week authorities announced that they had detained a number of people for questioning in connection with an alleged hazing incident.
Police used a search warrant to conduct the investigation at a Monroe Avenue house occupied by members of an unauthorized fraternity.
More details are expected to be released Thursday afternoon.
