Guilty Verdict In Rochester Murder Case

A Rochester man has been found guilty in the murder of a city teen.  21 year old DeVonte Lively was found guilty Friday afternoon of second degree murder in the death of 17 year old Larie Butler.

She was an East High School student and also Lively's friend and distant relative. Lively was accused of killing Butler at her grandmother's Irondequoit home in March of last year, and then dumping the body in a neighbor's pool.

Lively faces up to 25 years to life in prison when he is sentenced in June.

Webster Fallen Officer Honored In Albany

(AP & WXXI News)  Friends and relatives of police officers who have died in the line of duty  joined  state leaders and law enforcement officials for the annual Police Officers Memorial remembrance ceremony in Albany.

The ceremony was held Wednesday  at the New York State Police Officers Memorial in the Empire State Plaza.

The Finger Lakes are in the national spotlight--they’ve made it to Yahoo’s online list of 10 lakeside vacation spots that "have it all." 

The Yahoo! Travel entry on the 11 lakes promotes the wineries, the Corning Glass Museum, Watkins Glen State Park and the village of Skaneateles. The Finger Lakes join global luminaries like Italy’s Lake Como, Switzerland’s Lake Geneva and Canada’s Lake Louise.
