Xerox has named Steve Hoover as its new chief technology officer.
He succeeds Sophie Vandebroek, who will retire at the end of the year. Vandebroek joined Xerox in 1991 and has served as chief technology officer and president of the Xerox Innovation Group for more than a decade.
Hoover will be responsible for research and product development, following the company’s separation. The document technology division will still be called Xerox, the business services company will be called Conduent.
Hoover currently is CEO of PARC, which is Xerox’s R & D company based in California. He joined PARC in 2011 as serving as vice president of the Xerox Research Center of Webster.
