Xerox issues advisory about fidget spinners handed out at the jazz fest

provided photo

If you visited the Xerox booth in the Jazz Festival's Merchandise Tent to redeem a prize and received a light-up "fidget spinner,” you are asked to discontinue using it and return it to the Merchandise Tent or dispose of it.

There is concern that the product could potentially create a fire hazard.

Approximately 200 of the spinners were part of a giveaway at the festival.

The product is called an LED bluetooth speaker fidget spinner.  The particular model in question is a light-up spinner, which connects via USB to a phone or computer.  It is manufactured by an overseas company that is unaffiliated with the organizers and sponsors of the Jazz Festival.

Jazz Festival patrons who received the spinner should discontinue its use and are requested to return it to the Merchandise tent located on Gibbs Street or call the Xerox Events Hotline 1-877-738-0286.
