Monroe County deputies say a worker died after an industrial accident on Thursday.
Authorities say they were called to the Mersen Corporation late Thursday morning on Jefferson Road near Winton Road.
Mersen, which has operations around the world, works with electrical power and various kinds of materials.
Deputies say when they got there, the investigation revealed that 49 year old Daniel Mayer of Fairport was using a 200 ton metal press when he was injured.
Employees and Henrietta EMS workers gave first aid, but Mayer died at the scene from his injuries.
The federal safety agency OSHA is also investigating.
