Word From the Street: Don't Attack Syria

New polls show most Americans aren't in favor of military action against Syria.

WXXI News asked a number of Rochesterians what they thought about the situation, and the overwhelming majority we spoke with said they didn't support using force against that country.

Michelle Sloey of Spencerport and Jim Kreider of Rochester both said there were more important domestic issues that should be taken care of first.

Skip Hollenbeck of Rochester said it's none of business what's happening in Syria.

The closest thing to a "yes" vote came from Gene Cairo of Rochester.

He said there should be a consensus, and if Congress approves military action, he'll support it.

Others like Jim Bradley and Shawn Havens of Rochester both said they can't support a U-S only-led strike on Syria.
