WNY Native Injured In Ft. Hood Shooting

westernjournalism.com

A Western New York native is reportedly among the 16 people injured in Wednesday's shooting at Ft. Hood.

According to WIVB-TV in Buffalo, Major Patrick Miller of Allegany had surgery last night for his wounds.

Miller is a 2003 graduate of St. Bonaventure University. He is a brigade comptroller at Fort Hood.

An Iraq War veteran being treated for mental illness was the gunman who opened fire at the base last night, killing three people before committing suicide, in an attack on the same Texas military base where more than a dozen people were slain in 2009.
