Look for an  early blast of winter this weekend, with the National Weather Service issuing a Lake Snow Advisory from Noon on Saturday until 7pm on Sunday.

The forecast calls for snow showers Saturday, with temperatures in the 30s and breezy conditions.

Saturday night, lake effect snow is expected, with temperatures falling to around 20 degrees and wind gusts increasing to over 40 miles an hour.

The lake effect snow continues into Sunday along with the blustery conditions and a high only in the 20s. The temperatures this weekend will be close to 20 degrees below normal.

Snow accumulations will vary widely depending on the lake effect bands, but some areas could see anywhere from 3 to 6 inches of snow over the weekend.
