The timing of a winter storm making its way to the Northeast U.S. is not good news for Thanksgiving travelers.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Western New York, including Rochester and the Finger Lakes region from 4 p.m. Tuesday through 1:00 a.m on Thursday.
Meteorologists say the storm could bring six inches or more of snow, mixing at times with sleet and freezing rain. Once the storm has passed, high winds are expected to create blowing and drifting snow, continuing to complicate matters for travelers.
