Rochester, NY – Democrat Robin Wilt announced her candidacy for a state Senate seat Wednesday. The grassroots organizer will challenge Republican incumbent Senator Joe Robach in the 56th Senate District.
Wilt says she'll push for job growth in upstate, property tax relief and stand for families. And she says she's an "unlikely" candidate who will deliver a "wake up call" to Albany.
Wilt says running for state senate is a "natural progression," following her experience at the grassroots level, with the Progressive Democrats of the Genesee Valley.
Wilt also supports equal marriage, education reform, tax relief and labor issues.
