Western New York Soldier Killed in Afghanistan

Rochester, NY – The Department of Defense reports 21 year old Army Specialist Christopher Scott died after insurgents fired on his unit in Kandahar province.
Scott was on his first tour overseas.
He was from the hamlet of Tyrone, between Dundee and Bath in Schuyler County.
Scott reportedly was to be married in 12 days.
Scott was a military police officer with the 101st Airborne.
He was at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, before he was deployed in July.
