WATERTOWN, NY (AP) Watertown is again celebrating its "Snowtown'' nickname.
The northern New York city's "Snowtown USA" celebration continues this weekend with a snow softball tournament and other events. The celebration began New Year's Eve and runs through mid-February.
City parks superintendent Erin Gardner tells the Watertown Daily Times that attendance is up from last year, when Snowtown USA was brought back after a 27-year absence.
The Snowtown celebration was disrupted once this year because of too much snow. A day celebrating the city's historic Thompson Park had to be postponed because of a snowstorm. It's now scheduled for Feb. 8.
