Wegmans Tops Customer Satisfaction List

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) — Wegmans again has been named the top supermarket by the American Customer Satisfaction Index.

The latest ACSI report released this week says the Rochester-based chain is the highest-rated overall retailer in America. Its score of 86 is up one notch from last year.

Wegmans, which has more than 85 locations across the Northeast, also was named America's best overall supermarket by Consumer Reports.

The popular grocery store chain was also named No. 1 for reputation by the Harris Poll last year, above Apple, Google and other big companies.

Still, scores dropped almost across the board for supermarkets, registering their lowest satisfaction scores in more than a decade. The average score was 73 percent. Only Wegmans improved its score from 2014.
