Wegmans Reaches Deal with Fountain Bleu Hair Salon

Rochester, NY – The Fountain Bleu hair salon has agreed to sell its property to Wegmans, clearing the way for Wegmans to develop the entire East Avenue site for a new store.

The Fountain Bleu was the one holdout, and Wegmans was planning on working around the hair salon.

Wegmans' Director of Media Relations, Jo Natale says Wegmans will submit an alternate construction plan to the city sometime next month. She says the acquisition of the salon gives Wegmans greater flexibility with the project.

Natale will not discuss details of the agreement. She says the soonest the new store could open is in 2012.
