Wegmans ranks #2 in corporate reputation study

Wegmans has ranked #2 in a recent study about corporate reputations.

The Harris Poll Reputation Quotient study ranks the reputations of the 100 most visible companies on 20 attributes that include social responsibility, emotional appeal, products and services, vision and leadership, financial performance and workplace environment.

Wegmans President Colleen Wegman says there are five values that guide the Rochester-based company, including caring, high standards, make a difference, respect and empowerment.

In this year's Harris study, 17 of the 100 most visible U.S. companies earned "excellent" reputation scores including Wegmans,  and 34 companies received "very good" scores.

Amazon came in at #1. Publix Supermarkets, Johnson & Johnson and Apple, ranked as numbers 3, 4 and 5.
