Wegmans says it is implementing a digital coupon program for its Shoppers Club members. The Rochester-based supermarket chain says this will be a pilot program in Rochester and in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania.
Customers will be able to use either a desktop computer or a mobile device to "clip" digital coupons directly to their Shoppers Club account. Wegmans says these coupons will not replace Shoppers Club discounts.
Wegmans first tested the digital coupons with employees last year to ensure the program worked well before offering it to customers.
Wegmans hopes to roll the program out to all stores later this year.
