The U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Small Business Administration are teaming up to present a webinar next month for people interested in the malt barley industry.
The webinar is being offered for malt growers, hop farmers and those in the brewing and distillery business to learn about any available financing and federal assistance.
Senator Chuck Schumer said that over the next decade New York law may require farm craft brewers and distillers to get 90 percent of their ingredients from local farms and malt houses.
The webinar is scheduled for February 11 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
