Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren says it may be time for the local Democratic leadership to regroup in Rochester, after a poor voter turnout in the city on election day.

Only around 22 percent of eligible voters cast their ballot.

Warren didn't endorse any candidate in the race for County Executive, won by Republican Cheryl DiNolfo over Democrat Sandy Frankel and Green Party candidate  Rajesh Barnabas

She wouldn't comment on whether if she was more involved in the races, more city residents would've headed to the polls.

"I can't talk about what ifs. I don't know. What I do know is that it is very, very important to me to have a working relationship with the county of Monroe."

She says so much of the work they do is interrelated, from transportation to social services to the court system.

To that end, Warren pledges to work hard with the next county executive on behalf of the citizens of Rochester.

She adds  she's willing to sit down with anyone in the Democratic party to discuss how they should go forward as a party.
