Vocational Schools: A Solution to Youth Unemployment in South Sudan

According to some Rochester-based non-profits, vocational schools are a solution to youth unemployment in South Sudan. Rochester resident, Kuc Majak, launched the Vocational Institute for the Children of South Sudan to assist in this effort. A school is currently being built in his home village of Aweil, in Northern Bahr El Ghazal State in South Sudan. In this interview he shares more about the project, the importance of vocational training in South Sudan, and challenges he’s encountered with his mission.
