Rochester, NY – The VA Medical Center in Canandaigua has fielded more than 750 calls Tuesday from veterans wanting information about health services.
The medical center operated a phone bank at WXXI's studios to increase awareness about the services being offered to veterans.
Director Craig Howard says the VA Medical Center specializes in several areas, including care for older veterans and prosthetic limbs.
The phone bank was done as a partnership among the VA Medical Center, 13 WHAM-TV and WXXI.
