United Way President & CEO Retiring

United Way of Greater Rochester

The President & CEO of the United Way of Greater Rochester is retiring. The organization announced that Peter Carpino will retire at the end of June 2015, after a 31-year career with the United Way system, including the last 10 as president and CEO in Rochester.

"Peter Carpino has been a strong leader for our United Way and the entire Rochester community,” said Colleen Wegman, United Way Board Chair.  “We are so grateful for his many contributions and leadership through challenging times over the last decade and are also looking forward to what the future holds as we move the organization forward."

Carpino came back to Rochester in 2005 after serving as president of the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley. United Way says the national search for a new president & CEO will begin immediately and hopes to have someone in place by May 1, 2015
