The University of Rochester was dealing with a power outage at its data center on Saturday which resulted in the loss of internet and email service at the university. A spokesperson says that also affected email and internet service at the medical center.
It happened at about 8am Saturday during planned maintenance.
On Saturday afternoon officials said restoration of the services was in progress. A note on the university's website said that as of 5:15 p.m. some websites and other services may be offline while the repairs continue.
