Women's clothing retailer Coldwater Creek has filed for Chapter 11 and plans to close all of its stores by early summer.
The company's stores and website are still up and running now, but the business says it is getting ready to wind down operations. It plans to start liquidation sales soon.
In this area Coldwater has a store at Eastview Mall in Victor and also at the Waterloo Premium Outlets complex in Seneca County.
Coldwater was founded as a catalog business 30 years ago, and has more than 300 stores nationwide. The company was unsuccessful in its efforts to find a buyer.
