A crash on the west side of Monroe County Tuesday afternoon killed two people, and seriously injured three others.
Monroe County Deputies say an SUV with five young adults apparently pulled into the path of a tractor trailer in the Town of Wheatland at the intersection of North Road and Riga-Mumford Road.
The crash killed the SUV driver, 21 year old Taylor Binnert, and a front seat passenger, 20 year old Christopher Peterson. Three female passengers in that vehicle were seriously injured. All five are from Caledonia.
Deputies say that the five people were volunteers at a camp in Batavia for children with special needs and they were returning from work on their way home when the accident happened.
