Town Races See Some Upsets

There were some hotly contested races for town supervisor in Monroe County and election night also saw some upsets.

In Irondequoit, Republican Supervisor Mary Joyce D'Aurizio was denied a third term by Democrat Adam Bello. Bello won by about 10 percentage points. Bello's running mates on the town board, Dave Seeley and Lorie Barnum also won.

In Henrietta, Jack Moore, who won the September GOP primary over incumbent Michael Yudelson, has apparently  the general election. Yudelson was on the Conservative and Independence Party lines. It was a close race, with Moore winning by just about two percent.

In Hamlin, Conservative Eric Peters is the apparent winner for supervisor by a two percent margin over incumbent Republican Tom Breslawski.

In Greece, where John Auberger was not running again because of term limits, Republican Bill Reilich defeated Democrat Dick Beebe by about 19 percent.

In Pittsford, Republicans continued their domination of town politics, winning the supervisor and town board seats.

In Parma, Republican James Smith defeated Edward Arnold of the Common Sense Party.
