Survey Lists Rochester Airport as 12th Most Affordable

Rochester, NY – Rochester's airport ranks as the 12th most affordable airport in the nation, according to the online media company CheapFlights.com.

With an average airfare of $318, Rochester was ahead of other upstate cities like Buffalo at $366 on average, and Syracuse at $384.

CheapFlights.com ranks the 101 most affordable airports. The Greater Rochester International Airport ranked 14th in average fares last year.

The Long Beach and Bob Hope Airports in California were the most affordable, with a $223 average airfare.

Flying out of Honolulu, Hawaii ranked at the bottom with a $667 average airfare.

CheapFlights' rankings are based on searches of its website of the average price of flights to popular domestic and international locations.
