Storm Brings Weather Channel to Town

It must be bad out there if the Weather Channel is in town.

On camera meterologist Mike Seidel provided live updates on the storm from one of the stormiest spots -- right by the Irondequoit Outlet Bridge.

They're calling this latest storm "Vulcan," and it appears it will live long and prosper.

Seidel says conditions will worsen during the day and into this evening, with heavy snowfall, wind gusts up to 50 miles per hour, and falling temperatures.

Visibility will be down to a quarter mile or less, and a blizzard warning remains in effect until 5 am Thursday.

Seidel says temperatures will plummet to the single digits overnight, but we won't reach the record low for Thursday of 7 below zero.

Seidel says he's put on seven layers of clothing for his live updates by the lake today.
