Singers in the Rochester Oratorio Society are resurrecting something called the official Rochester Songbook. The book was the first of its kind when it was published a century ago.
It was an attempt to help everyone in the city learn the same ditties about Rochester's history, schools, industries and future.

The group will sing songs from Thursday night in a concert at the Hochstein Performance Hall.
Friday afternoon at 1:00, members of the group will sing some of the songs live on WXXI-FM's live performance program, Backstage Pass with Julia Figueras.
