Sale Of The Hyatt Hotel In Downtown Rochester Has Been Completed

rochester.hyatt.com

The purchase of the Hyatt Hotel in downtown Rochester by a company formed by area developers Robert Morgan and Dave Christa is official now.

Their company, called “ MC Management of Rochester,” has acquired the hotel on East Main Street for $16 million.  They bought it from a private equity firm, the Blackstone Group.

The partners have said they plan to do $15 million worth of renovations at the hotel, including updating the more than 330 rooms there, the lobby, and re-launch what they say will be a new restaurant concept.

The developers have said the renovations are required by the hotel chain  in order to retain the Hyatt brand for that location.
