RTS is discontinuing one of its routes. Route 52, which offers east side city residents a direct bus route to the University of Rochester Medical Center and Strong Hospital from the Park Avenue area will end as of September 1st.
Officials say it was started in September of last year in partnership with the U of R, and they say despite various promotional efforts, there were not enough customers to continue the service.
RTS says it continues to offer frequent service to the U of R and the Mount Hope Avenue area on nine of its bus routes.
