Rochester Police have released the name of the man who died after being stabbed at Durand Eastman Beach early Tuesday morning. He is 20 year old Kyle Georgia of the city.
Police say Georgia was with several others at the beach and met up with another group, when words were exchanged between a male suspect and Georgia. There was an altercation, and Georgia was stabbed several times in the upper body. He was taken by friends to the hospital where he later died of his wounds.
There's no word yet of any arrests.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 911.
