Rochester is Test Site for Swine Flu Vaccine

Rochester, NY – Rochester is one of a dozen cities across the nation with a site to perform clinical trials in finding a potential vaccine for the H1N1 Swine Flu virus.

Rochester Clinical Research will begin free test trials in August, and will run for 6 months. Nurse practitioner and spokesperson for the research facility, Michael Brennan says right now they have just over half a dozen people enrolled in the study, but are still looking for more.

Brennan says participants need to be fairly healthy, but that doesn't mean they can't have minor health issues. Vaccines are administered through a nasal spray or shot.
