Rochester Seniors & The Search For Love

http://youtu.be/7QZFXn5Hm28

“Love is not something that sets us apart generation to generation; it’s something that ties us together.” That’s according to Brighton native and documentary filmmaker, Steven Loring. His film, The Age of Love, works to demonstrate that connection and to give a voice to a generation he says cannot be easily categorized or ignored – singles over the age of 70 searching and hopeful for love. Loring captured the stories of Rochester residents who signed up for a first-of-its-kind speed dating event in our community solely for those 70 to 90-years-old. During a recent interview for Need to Know Loring described the journey of making the film and just how much and how little our hearts change in a lifetime.

This Need to Know segment also includes a conversation about the importance of dating, romance and companionship for the senior population in Rochester. Joining the discussion is Donald D’Amico, Founder of Better Beginnings Premier Matchmaking Services and David Wood, one of D’Amico’s successful client matches who shares big news on the program.
