Rochester Prepares For High Heat & Humidity

gpb.org

The Rochester area is expected to have one of the hottest days we've seen in a while on Wednesday. The National Weather Service is forecasting a high in the mid-90s with humid conditions.

The record temperature for the day is 98 degrees, set in 1952.  If we get up to 95, that would be the highest temp since July of 2012 when the high was 97.

The City of Rochester has implemented its 'Heat Emergency,' which means in addition to Spray Parks being set up at recreation centers and hydrants,  there will also be libraries and other locations where people without air conditioning can go to cool off.
