Rochester Media Association Awards

Three WXXI staffers were honored at the second annual Rochester Media Association Awards Banquet on Saturday night.

The event was held at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center and was hosted by 13-WHAM TV's Don Alhart.

Three people were honored with the Association's ' Impact Awards ' which are meant to honor individuals with a distinguished career in local media who also have made substantial contributions to the community.

Among them was Beth Adams, who is the morning host on AM 1370 WXXI. Other Impact Award honorees are longtime WHEC-TV anchor Rich Funke, and Democrat and Chronicle movie critic Jack Garner.

Other awards honored two people from various local media organizations, and those from WXXI include Alex Crichton, afternoon host on All Things Considered, and Lisa Famiglietti, who is an educational multimedia producer.
