Rochester Housing Authority Gets New Leadership

The Rochester Housing Authority is announcing new leadership. The organization has appointed John Hill as the new executive director.

Hill previously served as Executive Director of the Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority in Las Vegas. The Chairman of the RHA Board, George Moses, says that Hill's ability to connect on a personal level with residents, participants and staff is critical for the authority.

The authority has been without a permanent director since its board dismissed Alex Castro in October 2014. City Councilman Adam McFadden was briefly interim director, but stepped down after questions about whether his appointment would be a conflict of interest.

Shawn Burr has been serving as interim director.  The Rochester Housing Authority also announced a new 'shared leadership team' which it says will bring together a core group of diverse executives to help further the organization's mission.
