Rochester Firefighters Battle 3-Alarm Fire

A very busy overnight Saturday into Sunday for Rochester firefighters dealing with four fires including one that was a three alarm fire.

That fire was at 2100 St. Paul Street in a large, boarded-up three story building. The fire was reported just after midnight and one reason the fire was upgraded to three alarms is because of the physical toll it placed on firefighters.

Rochester also got mutual aid help from other fire departments including Ridge road, West Webster, Gates and Brighton who filled in at some city firehouses to make sure there was adequate coverage.

There were no injuries and the cause is still under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.

Rochester firefighters also dealt with overnight fires on West Broad, Bay and Akron Streets.
