Rochester, NY – Rochester General Hospital is celebrating a milestone in robotic surgery this week.
It's expected sometime today surgeons will perform the 3-thousandth surgical procedure with robotic assistance.
Rochester General first installed the "da Vinci Surgical System" in 2004, and has the largest program in the region, according to RGH.
Rochester General is also among the top 4 percent of hospitals nationwide currently offering robotic surgery options.
