RIT's Next Big Shot To Focus On The Kodak Tower

rit.edu

RIT's School of Photographic Arts and Sciences has captured a lot of landmarks for its 'Big Shot' project over the last several years, including Churchill Downs, the U.S.S. Intrepid,  and Cowboys Stadium.

An iconic Rochester building will be the next project. RIT photographers will shoot an extended exposure photo of the Kodak Tower on the night of September 18th.

The 19-story skyscraper was completed in 1914 and it was the city's tallest building for more than 50 years.

The Big Shot photo will be created using both traditional and digital technologies. The public will join RIT students, faculty and staff for the photo which will be taken around 8 p.m. on September 18th.

Volunteers are asked to arrive no later than 7:30 p.m. and bring either a flashlight or a camera flash unit, and wear dark clothing.
