The woman who leads the New York State Pollution Prevention Institute has been hired to become the Director of the EPA Region 2 Science Division in New Jersey.
Anahita Williamson has headed up that institute since 2009. RIT along with several partners, comprise the organization which helps businesses across the state reduce their carbon footprint.
In her new role Williamson will direct a staff of 65 as they oversee the collection, analysis and evaluation of environmental data in support of EPA monitoring programs.
