RIT has announced that Christine Whitman has been named the Chair of the RIT Board of Trustees.
She is the first woman to fill that role, and Whitman says that since "part of the university's strategic plan is diversity...I think it's great to have a female chair as part of the next 10 years of the university."
Whitman is chairman and CEO of Complemar Partners in Rochester, and has been a trustee since 1997. She is also a founder of Greater Rochester Enterprise and the Rochester Angel Network.
