Most RG&E customers back on line after wind storm

Crews from RG&E now have most customers back on line after strong winds brought down tree limbs and power lines on Sunday.

At the peak of the outages, there were more than 16,000 RG&E customers in Monroe County without power, and several thousand RG&E and NYSEG customers in Wayne County without electricity.

As of early Tuesday morning, less than 600 RG&E customers were without electricity in Monroe County, with most of those in Perinton, and nearly all customers in Wayne County were back on line.
