The City of Canandaigua has put water restrictions in place for municipalities and other entities who receive water from its water treatment plant due to low levels on Canandaigua Lake.
The restrictions include not using the water for irrigation, washing cars or filling swimming pools.
Also, all water users within the Canandaigua Water Treatment Plant service area are asked to reduce water usage as much as possible through common sense water conservative methods.
The communities served by the Canandaigua Water Treatment plant include the Town of Canandaigua, the towns of Bristol, Hopewell, Farmington, Manchester and East Bloomfield as well as the Village of Manchester, the Wayne County Water Authority and the Canandaigua Veteran’s Hospital.
