There's another list out about favorite supermarkets that ranks Rochester-based Wegmans highly in terms of how consumers feel about them.
A Colorado-based research firm, Market Force Information, did a large-scale study of more than 10,000 consumers. It revealed that Wegmans is America's favorite grocery retailer, followed by Publix and Trader Joe's.
This was the first time in four years that Trader Joe's did not rank first. Last year, Wegmans didn't have enough votes to make the list, but they got double the number of votes this year to take the top spot.
Market Force asked participants to rate their satisfaction with their most recent grocery shopping experience and their likelihood to refer that grocer to other people.
